A little about Sachse, TX.

The town of Sachse, Texas is located on the east side of Dallas County. It is a small town, with a population of just over 25,000 people as of 2018. It originated in the late 1800s as a small farming community.

The first settlers of Sachse were mostly German immigrants who had arrived in the area in the 1840s. Many of the original settlers were farmers, and they quickly began to develop the land by planting cotton, corn, and other crops on the newly acquired land. The name of the town, “Sachse”, is derived from the German word for “boxwood”, a common type of timber that can be found in the area.

Sachse’s development was gradual until the early 20th century. The establishment of a railroad line in 1900 allowed more people to move to the area, and businesses began to open up. This period of growth continued until the Great Depression, when the town’s economy came to a halt.  In the 1950s and 60s, Sachse saw a revival as new businesses began to move into the area and new homes and subdivisions were built. The opening of I-30 in 1962 made it much easier for people to move to Sachse, and it quickly became a popular place to live for those who worked in Dallas.

Today, Sachse is a thriving community with a mix of suburban and rural feel to it. The town offers a variety of attractions, including parks, trails, shopping centers, and more. Sachse is also home to several major companies, such as Walmart, AT&T, and Lockheed Martin.
