A little about Terrell, TX.

Terrell, Texas was founded in 1873, making it one of the oldest cities in the state. The town was named after Robert A. Terrell, who served in the Confederate Army during the Civil War. Over the years, Terrell has grown and developed into a thriving city with a unique and fascinating history. The city has seen a number of changes, including the construction of the Trinity and Brazos Valley Railway, the arrival of modern transportation, and the development of a vibrant downtown area.

The 20th century saw a major shift in the landscape of Terrell, with the construction of numerous new buildings and businesses. The city’s downtown area was revitalized and a number of new restaurants and shops opened up. At the same time, the city’s population grew, reaching 17,000 by 1950. This growth was fueled by an influx of new residents from all over the world, bringing with them different cultures and lifestyles.

Today, Terrell is a thriving city with a population of over 21,000. The city has maintained its small-town charm while embracing modern conveniences. The downtown area continues to be a vibrant hub of activity, while the surrounding areas offer a variety of recreational activities and cultural attractions. The city is home to several educational institutions, including the University of Texas at Terrell, and is a major economic center for the region.
